WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team took an early lead and did not look back, as NSU defeated the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 16-1 in a non-conference game on Monday evening at JM Rubin Park.

- The Sharks plated a pair of runs in the top of the first inning. Roylan Quevedo worked a walk with the bases loaded, which was followed by a sacrifice fly from Boris Pena.
- NSU tacked on two more runs in the top of the second inning, as Xavier Moronta and Gabriel Esquivel each recorded an RBI double, extending the lead to 4-0.
- PBA responded with an RBI single, putting the score at 4-1.
- Edwin Alicea, who earned his fourth win of the season, tossed a quality start with six innings, four strikeouts, and allowed just one run, while scattering six hits.
- Pena came through with a two-run double, plating both Quevedo and Joel Cabrera, giving NSU a 6-1 advantage.
- The Sharks broke through with eight runs in the top of the eighth inning. Cabrera added two more runs to the ledger with a double, before Jorge DeGoti and Nick Rodriguez both added walks with the bases loaded.
- Zeth Rodriguez recorded a two-run double, giving the Sharks a 12-1 lead.
- Morona added an RBI single, before Cabrera recorded his third RBI of the inning, capping off the eight-run frame for NSU.
- The Sharks plated two more runs in the top of the ninth inning, closing out the 16-1 victory for NSU's fourth straight win.
