FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team was defeated by the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 9-2 in a midweek, non-conference contest on Tuesday evening at the NSU Baseball Complex.

- The Sailfish got on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning with a two-run home run, quickly taking a 2-0 lead.
- Chris Perez, the starting pitcher for NSU, settled in and limited the Sailfish for the remainder of his outing. Perez also tallied a career-high eight strikeouts in the effort.
- PBA added a run in the top of the fifth inning on a solo home run, taking a 3-0 lead.
- The Sailfish capitalized on an error by the Sharks and plated six runs in the top of the seventh inning, taking a 9-0 lead over NSU.
- Nova Southeastern got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh inning, as JC Hernandez scored on a balk.
- NSU plated another run in the bottom of the eighth inning, as Hernandez came through with a sacrifice fly to bring in Richard Benitez.
