CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Men's and Women's Track teams traveled south for the 2026 Hurricane Alumni Invite hosted by the University of Miami.
Both teams earned a variety of top five finishes. On the women's side
Arianna Bittner and
Aaliyah Jordan crossed the line fifth and sixth in the women's 400m hurdles with times of 1:05.25 and 1:05.45.
The NSU women's relay teams also had strong performances with the 4x100m relay coming in third while the 4x400m relay saw both its A and B teams place second and fourth in the event.
On the men's side,
Joseph Pinheiro had strong performances in hurdle events placing fifth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.03 while crossing the line in ninth in the 110m hurdles crossing the line in 16 seconds, flat.
The Sharks have a week off before getting back in action on April 24 and 25 at the Sunshine State Conference Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla. hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. It is a two-day event at the ERAU Track and Field Complex.
