Carlos Asuaje hit in the leadoff spot in this weekend’s sweep of Saint Leo and earned NSUSharks.com Athlete of the Week for his production. Asuaje recorded a hit in seven of his 10 at bats, with over half of his hits going for extra bases. Asuaje was the difference maker offensively in the Sharks’ win Thursday night, hitting two solo home runs in a two-run win. It was Asuaje’s first multiple home run game of his career. Asuaje was also 3-for-3 with two doubles in the final game of the week.
