Hendricks is the Sharks student-athlete of the week for his outstanding performance at the 2016 Peach Belt Conference Championships that took place at the University of North Carolina - Pembroke from April 21 to 23. Hendricks set a new meet record in the men's hammer throw finals at 52.63 meters, which led him to win the gold medal of the competition. His great performance continued until the end of the meet when he was awarded the silver medal in the men's discuss throw competition with a mark of 44.03 meters.
