Lakeland, Fla. (Oct. 9, 2009) - The Nova Southeastern University volleyball team downed #23 Florida Southern on the road inside the Jenkins Field House by a 3-1 score in action on Friday evening. The win improves the Sharks record to 12-7 on the season, including 3-3 in Sunshine State Conference play while Florida Southern falls to 10-9 and 3-5 in SSC play.
"It was a hard fought win," said NSU head coach Steve Wilcosky. "It just shows that in every SSC match you have to come out with the confidence to win.
