FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — After opening the spring season with victory against St. Thomas on Saturday, the Nova Southeastern University tennis team will compete at the NSU Tennis Complex for the first time this season against the Northwood Seahawks tomorrow, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m.
Last time out the Sharks defeated St. Thomas, 7-2, in Miami with two players winning both their singles and doubles matches on Saturday in
Daria Burobina (Fr., Moscow, Russia) and
Paige Lindsley (Sr., Albuquerque, N.M.).
The Sharks own a perfect 2-0 record against Northwood, with both wins being at home. The Sharks’ last meeting with Northwood on Feb 7, 2009 was a, 9-0, shutout.
Northwood is 1-2 this season, losing both matches on the road. The Seahawks come off a loss against Lynn, 9-0, in Boca Raton, Fla.
