FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The No. 22 Nova Southeastern University women’s tennis team (7-6, 2-1 SSC) welcomes two Sunshine State Conference opponents to the NSU Tennis Complex on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26. On Friday, the Sharks will host Eckerd (2-8, 0-4 SSC) at 2 p.m. while welcoming No. 28 Florida Tech (11-5, 2-3 SSC) on Saturday, March 26 at 1:30 p.m.

Paige Lindsley (Sr., Albuquerque, N.M.) and
Austin Lavallii (So., Williamston, Mich.) won their 11th match of the season as duo against Division I Towson, 8-3, in the No. 3 spot. The international duo of
Daria Burobina (Fr., Moscow, Russia) and
Federica Longo (So., Buenos Aires, Argentina) captured their sixth win as a team this year, defeating their opponent, 8-1, in the No. 2 spot.
The Sharks slipped in singles, winning only two matches to fall to the Tigers, 5-4, for the first time this season after leading the match going into singles play.
This marks the eighth time NSU has met both Eckerd and Florida Tech on the tennis courts.
The Sharks own a 4-3 all-time series edge over Eckerd, winning their last four matches against the Tritons. Last season NSU defeated EC, 8-1, in St. Petersburg, Fla. Eckerd enters the match losing five of their last six matches. This match poses as the first road trip for the Tritons this season.
The Sharks edge FIT, 6-2, in the all-time series but fell to the Panthers twice last season. FIT comes to Fort Lauderdale winning eight of their last nine matches while also owning a 2-4 record on the road.
The Sharks enter this weekend losing their last three matches at home. NSU is 2-4 this season at the NSU Tennis Complex knocking off both Northwood on Feb. 15 and Division I Pittsburgh on March 6.
