No. 16 Tennis Makes Final Regular Season Push against PBA and No. 8 Rollins

Sharks to face PBA Tuesday and Rollins Saturday.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The No. 16 Nova Southeastern tennis team (13-8, 3-4 SSC) will wrap up regular season play this week with road matches at Palm Beach Atlantic (13-7) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Rollins (13-4, 2-2 SSC) on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

The Sharks enter the week after a tough loss against No. 10 Florida Southern on the road, 5-4. NSU has had key injuries, but have been a formidable side in the nation's toughest conference all season long. NSU is sixth in the Sunshine State Conference and mathematically can only move up in the standings. If the standings hold true through the rest of the season, NSU will have a rematch with FSC in the first round of the SSC Tournament.

The Sharks will face two tough regional opponents this week, both of which rank in the national top-40. Alexandra Johansson (Jr., Sydney, Australia) is entering the week after a win over FSC's Magda Riutort, who ranks 40th in the nation. The slate does not get easier for the Sharks' ace, as both PBA and Rollins' top players are both nationally ranked.

After the week wraps up, NSU will have a two week break before the SSC Tournament, scheduled to begin on April 24 in Winter Park, Fla.
