PENSACOLA, Fla. – The breakout 2014-15 season for the No. 5 Nova Southeastern University tennis team came to an end on Sunday, in the NCAA South Regional Tournament semifinal round to No. 7 Lynn.

The Sharks (18-3), who achieved their highest ranking in program history and won their first 16 matches of the season, made their return to the NCAA postseason for the first time in six seasons on Sunday. They fell behind Lynn (18-4) 3-0 after doubles, each coming within three points or less in 8-5, 8-6 and 8-5 decisions.

Lynn took the first two singles matches to completion as well to take the 5-0 victory. Among the unfinished pairings, Petra Jurova (Jr., Bratislava, Slovakia) was knotted up in her No. 2 draw, 6-6 (4-4); while Carlee Rizzolo (Jr., Livingston, N.J.) was heading towards a third set at No. 5, up 4-2 in the second after falling in the first.

The completion of the season marked the end of the NSU careers of Charlotte Cote (Sr., Montreal, Quebec), Alexandra Johansson (Sr., Sydney, Australia) and Bianca Roberts (Sr., Ft. Walden Beach, Fla.). Seven Sharks from this year's active roster will return, along with the incoming recruiting class for the 2015-16 season.
