Sharks Take Their Talent Out West

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women's basketball team heads to the west coast this week to compete in a trio of games. First, the Sharks will participate in the Seattle-Pacific Classic where they will take on Concordia-Portland and the host, No. 14 Seattle-Pacific. From there, NSU will cross the border into Canada where they will face Simon Fraser, the only Canadian NCAA-affiliated school.

NSU returned to their winning ways this past weekend, picking up a 75-71 victory over fellow SSC member, Lynn University. Megan Piggott's outstanding 30-point performance awarded her SSC Player of the Week laurels, as she shot 52 percent from the field (11-of-21) and 56 percent (5-of-9) from beyond the arc. Samantha Logan also laid in a career high with 18 points, while shooting 6-of-10 from the field, while Maria Bardeeva dropped a career-high 14 off the bench, also with six made field goals, as well as four rebounds.
