FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – No. 7 Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team will visit Embry-Riddle in Daytona, Florida on Friday, March 25, followed by Eckerd in St. Petersburg, Fla. on Saturday morning.
The 8-1 Sharks look forward to continuing their eight-game winning streak against upcoming unranked opponents.
The provisional Sunshine State Conference Embry-Riddle Eagles are currently 4-5 overall, with their latest defeat versus No. 6 University of West Florida at home. Earlier this month the Eagles outplayed SSC rivals Rollins by a close margin of 5-4 at home and were downed by No. 29 Florida Tech 7-2 in Melbourne, Fla. The contention between No. 7 NSU and Embry-Riddle will start at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the Cotty Tennis Complex.
Immediately after the battle in in Daytona the Sharks will hit the road west towards St. Pete for their first official SSC countable match versus Eckerd. The Tritons, 1-9 overall, will host the Sharks Saturday at 10 a.m. on the Dick Bullard Courts. Eckerd dropped two SSC battles by a mark of 9-0 to No. 3 Saint Leo and No. 29 Florida Tech earlier this month.
