Box Score MATCH RESULTS AZUSA, Calif. – No. 7 Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team end a four away game journey by defeating the NCAA Division II No. 13 Azusa Pacific squad on Saturday, March 5 at the Cougar Tennis Courts in Azusa, Calif.

Stephen Schram and his team completed a sweep over the Pacific Coast, making the Sharks overall record 5-1. Only three singles matches were needed for the NSU Sharks to claim final victory over the APU Cougars.
The Sharks only dropped one doubles match to the Cougars. NSU prevailed from the start by taking the No. 1 doubles
Klaudia Boczova (Jr., Bratislava, Slovakia) and
Carlee Rizzolo (Sr., Livingston, N.J.) by a mark of 8-5. The No. 2 pair
Petra Jurova (Sr., Bratislava, Slovakia) and
Sabrina Kierberg (Sr., Munich, Germany) followed the Sharks success by winning 8-4 before heading to the singles matches.
Although the singles matches were briefly interrupted due to rain falling on the Cougar courts, the Sharks kept focus and continued their path to conquer Pacific territory.
Nastassia Rubel (Jr., Minsk, Belarus) led NSU by winning the No. 4 singles match with a score of 6-2, 6-0. Jurova replicated Rubel's results and claimed the No. 2 singles for the Sharks. Rizzolo once again gave her team the decisive point, this time by winning 6-2, 6-4.The Cougars were unable to tame the Sharks in the end as the final score indicated 5-1 in favor of NSU.
NSU will have roughly over a week to prepare for its next nationally ranked challenger No. 23 Academy of Art. The match will take place Monday, March 14 at 11 a.m. on the NSU Tennis Complex.
