DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – No. 7 Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team (14-1, 6-0 SSC) is back on the road to finish the rescheduled match versus Embry-Riddle (7-2). The match will be hosted by the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 at the Crotty Tennis Complex in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The originally scheduled match on Friday, March 25 was postponed due to severe rain falling on the tennis courts making it dangerous to continue any matches. At the moment of match suspension the Sharks were up in all six singles battles. No doubles matches were started as both head coaches agreed to begin with singles contentions.
The Sharks are coming from completing their 14th consecutive victory of 2016 on Sunday, against Sunshine State Conference rivals No. 34 Rollins Tars. The final score in Winter Park, Florida was 7-2 in favor of NSU. The Sharks also visited and defeated No. 5 Lynn 5-4 and No. 40 Florida Southern 8-1 earlier last week.
Embry-Riddle Eagles, who mostly recently lost to No. 2 Barry 5-0 at home on Sunday morning, look forward to turning around the partial score against the Sharks on Tuesday afternoon.
Also featured at the end on the week, on Sunday morning the No. 7 NSU Sharks will host the No. 3 Saint Leo Lions at the NSU Tennis Complex in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This match will better define the chances of claiming the 2016 SSC regular season title for both teams.
