FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – No. 7 Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team (10-1, 2-0 SSC) will host Senior Day celebration at the NSU Tennis Courts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Sunday, April 3 prior to their Sunshine State Conference match at 10 a.m. versus the University of Tampa Spartans (6-5, 0-3 SSC).
The six senior student-athletes to be commended include
Petra Jurova (Sr., Bratislava, Slovakia),
Linda Kornienko (Sr., Fort Myers, Fla.),
Iryna Serdyuk (Sr., Boca Raton, Fla.),
Sabrina Kierberg (Sr., Munich, Germany),
Carlee Rizzolo (Sr., Livingston, N.J.) and
Irina Constantinide (Sr., Galati, Romania).
The Sharks most recently defeated the No. 29 Florida Tech Panthers at home by a mark of 6-3 and extended their winning streak to ten consecutive games. They look forward to continue their outstanding performance versus the University of Tampa Spartans on Sunday morning.
On the other corner, the Spartans most recently lost to No. 29 Florida Tech by score of 8-0 and No. 3 Saint Leo by score of 8-1. The Spartans are trying to turn their season around at the NSU Shark Tank on Sunday in order to have a spot into the post season.
