INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University women's tennis team went to work on Friday afternoon at the Kiwi Tennis Club, opening competition at the Florida Tech Panther Women's Clay Court Invitational. The Sharks went up against competitors from Florida Southern and Saint Petersburg College.

Doubles
- In Flight A of the round robin doubles competition, freshman Natalie Espinal teamed up with junior Sarah Wardenburg to overcome Florida Southern's Selin Devrimci and Minnie Kim in the tiebreaker, 6-7, 6-3, 1-0.
- junior Isabella Lowrey and freshman Diane Follin-Arbelet came out of the opposite end of a hard-fought match, falling to FSC's Magda Stepnik and Lorena Rionda, 5-7, 6-1, 1-0.
- Sophomore Alexandra Yeardley and freshman Caitlyn Khan dropped a close one to FSC's Gabby Hesse and Lola Asis, 6-4, 6-3
Singles
- Espinal finished with a perfect start on the day, earning a 6-4, 6-0 singles win over Florida Southern's Rionda in Flight A.
- Yeardley picked up a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory in Flight E, triumphing over Saint Petersburg College's Abigail Turnquest
