FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – On a beautiful day in South Florida, the Nova Southeastern swimming teams posted a pair of wins over the visiting Florida Tech Panthers. Prior to the meet, the team honored its 11 seniors,

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS:
- Tyler Fell grabbed the first individual win for the Sharks in the 1,000 freestyle, coming in first in 10:39.49. Bernardo Abascal picked up the win on the men's side in 9:39.40
- In the women's 200 freestyle, Sundstedt claimed first place in 1:54.08, .04 seconds faster than her first-place performance a week ago. Dawson also took first in the event in 1:42.93.
- Sundstedt also won in the 500 freestyle with an NCAA B-cut time of 5:04.61. Vincent Lijoi took first on the men's side in 4:41.39.
- Afchain topped the competition in the 100 backstroke in 58.68. She also went on to win the 200 back in 2:09.53.
- Alessandro Xella was first in the men's 100 breaststroke and the 200 backstroke, posting times of 58.76 and 1:52.98, respectively.
- Oster and Poulsen swept FIT in the 200 butterfly, posting times of 2:09.70 and 1:53.00, respectively, for the wins. Oster also went on to win the 100 butterfly in 58.39.
- Fink earned the win in the 50 freestyle, finishing in 24.55. After a 15 minute break, Fink returned to the pool to win the 100 free in 53.66.
- In the men's 200 breaststroke, Samuel Brettmann topped the competition in 2:08.51. He also ended up on top in the 200 individual medley in 1:53.91.
UP NEXT
The Sharks will wrap up the regular season next Saturday in West Palm Beach with a non-conference dual-meet against Keiser. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
