FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern volleyball team picked up their fourth-straight Sunshine State Conference win on Friday evening, dismantling the visiting Panthers of Florida Tech in straight sets (25-14, 25-15, 25-11).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
SET 1 | The Sharks wasted no time grabbing a 6-0 lead in the first set, forcing Florida Tech to call an early time out. The Panthers were able to cut NSU's lead to two points at 10-8 before a kill by
Emily Sippel kickstarted a 6-1 run by the Sharks to make FIT take their second timeout. Nova Southeastern stayed out in front comfortably for the rest of the set, as a 4-0 run capped with a kill by
Alex Boone finished the set with NSU on top 25-14.
SET 2 | Back-to-back errors by the Panthers started set two, giving the Sharks the lead early again. Florida Tech was able to tie it up at 3-3, but would never steal the lead as NSU used consecutive kills by
Ally Ford to regain their advantage and never let go. With the Sharks up by just two at 11-9, a
Brittany Landrum kill ignited a 9-2 run to give NSU a commanding 20-11 lead. The two teams exchanged points before a kill by
Amanda Hall sealed the win for NSU, 25-14.
SET 3 | The first 17 points of the third set were a mirror image of the second set, seeing one tie at 3-3, before the Sharks were able to extended their lead out to three at 10-7. From there, the Sharks dominated the rest of the set, allowing FIT to only four more points. After a kill by Ford made it 15-9 in NSU's favor, a serving streak by
Rachael Nelson including two aces more than doubled NSU's lead at 23-9. It only took a couple more rallies, as kills by Boone completed the sweep with a 25-11 win.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Ford was back in business, tallying a game-high 12 kills while making it a double-double with 10 digs. She also had two aces.
- Boone recorded nine kills and Hall had seven kills, both recording two blocks.
- Sippel registered six kills to go with 10 digs while Jess Barrett made eight digs.
- McKenna Tucek and Brittany Landrum each logged five kills while Landrum assisted on two blocks.
- Madison Cook handed out 22 assists to go with 13 digs, while Caylee Cox contributed 14 assists.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Cook's double-double was her fifth of the season.
- Tonight's win pushed NSU's conference win streak to four games, the first time since 2009.

The Sharks will continue at home on Saturday, Oct. 26, hosting the Eagles of Embry-Riddle. First serve is schedule for 4:00 p.m.
