Razafindranaly, Espinal and Bizhukova Prepping for ITA Cup Action

Three Sharks looking for Success at ITA Cup

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The second-ranked Nova Southeastern Women's Tennis team is preparing to get back on the courts and compete at the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia over the upcoming weekend. Head Coach Doug Neagle travels to the tournament bringing reigning Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, Julie Razafindranaly and top South Region Doubles duo Natalie Espinal and Fatima Bizhukova.  

"This is a prestigious tournament, so it's gratifying to see three of our Sharks representing," said Neagle. "These are our individual national championships and our ladies could not be more excited to compete. The facility at the Rome Tennis Center is terrific and the ITA does a great job running this and making it special for all players." 

The pair of Espinal and Bizhukova enter the tournament as the top-seeded duo tandem in the bracket. Doubles action will begin at 12:30 p.m., with Espinal and Bizhukova taking on Alexxa Etienne and Magdalena Hubickova (Southern New Hampshire). Razafindranaly will compete as the second-seed, facing off against Angela Charles-Alfred (Dallas Baptist). 

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association Cup will take place from Thursday, Oct., 13 to Sunday, Oct. 16 from the Rome Tennis Center. Tournament information can be found here, while the live streamed matches can be watched here.
