FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks went down early in the match 1-2, but after back-to-back set wins, the Sharks took down the Embry-Riddle Eagles 3-2 on Friday night from Rick Case Arena (27-25, 13-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-11).

HOW IT HAPPENED
· Out the gate of the first set, Kate Mihacevich set the tempo with a big kill to open the match.
· In the middle of the first set, the Sharks went on a 4-0 run to go up 9-5. The run featured kills from Jordan Chessar and Taylor Stockman, as well as a service ace from Jordan Chessar.
· The Sharks forced an Eagles timeout after back-to-back kills from Julia Bernardes and Taylor Stockman. Sharks lead 18-15.
· Back-to-back kills from Kate Mihacevich gave the Sharks a 23-21 lead in the first set.
· After being tied at 25, Taylor Stockman and Olivia Aniol wrapped up the first set with consecutive kills to win 27-25.
· In set two, the Sharks tried to rally late with three straight points thanks to kills from Kate Mihacevich and Taylor Stockman, but the Sharks couldn't complete the comeback in set two.
· In the third set, the Sharks went on a five-point rally to take a 10-7 lead. The rally featured kills from Kate Mihacevich and Taylor Stockman.
· Despite best efforts, the Sharks were unable to secure the win in set three.
· After being down early in the fourth set, the Sharks began to comeback scoring four of five points in the middle part of the set. The comeback featured kills from Taylor Stockman and Julia Bernardes.
· The Sharks took the lead late and held on to it the rest of the way. After kills from Kate Mihacevich, Bruna Avila, and Taylor Stockman, the Sharks were able to win set four 25-22 and force a fifth set.
· The Sharks opened the fifth set on fire by scoring four points straight. The run saw kills from Kate Mihacevich, Taylor Stockman, and a service ace from Alayna Kennel.
· After a kill from Kate Mihacevich and a block by Jordan Chessar and Taylor Stockman, the Sharks forced the Eagles to take a timeout. Sharks lead 11-9.
· Thanks to set dump by Bruna Avila, the Sharks were able to complete the comeback and win set five, 15-11.

· Chessar (8 blocks), Aniol (7) and Stockman (7) led the team in blocks.
· Mihacevich (15 kills) and Stockman (14) led the team in kills.
