DAVIE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's Golf team teed off the NSU Shark Invitational on Monday morning. After one, rain-soaked, round, the Sharks (+13) sit in 10th place. Mike Hay (-1) paced Nova Southeastern in the opening round, while sitting tied for third-place and just two strokes off the lead.

Results
After starting the day with a double-bogey on his first hole, Mike Hay bounced back with four consecutive pars, followed by a pair of birdies, and shot a bogey-free back-nine to end his day at one-under-par.
Joseba Torres began his round with a birdie, but shot one-over-par on the front-nine and added seven pars on the back-nine to end his day.
Both George Mills and Christian Munoz shot (+5) in the opening round. Mills recorded four birdies, including three to open the back-nine. Munoz totaled two birdies on the day.
Aidan Millham posted a (+6) on Monday afternoon.
Ivan Ponsomenech, playing as an individual, ended his opening round in a tie for 11th place and posted an even-par.
Will McGhie (+1), James Humphries (+6) and Jorge Berea (+8) also represented the Sharks as individuals.
