Sharks Open Play at Citrus Intercollegiate Invitational

ORLANDO, FL. – The #14 ranked Nova Southeastern University Men's Golf team began play at the Citrus Intercollegiate Invitational on Monday morning, finishing the first two rounds tied for eighth place (+20). Bruno Marques (-6) led the Sharks and finished the day in second place individually.

How it Happened
  • Bruno Marques (-6/69/69) opened the day three-over through six, starting on the seventh hole Marques rallied with six birdies and six pars to finish the round. Marques carried that momentum into his second round, where he shot bogey free with three birdies to finish the day six-under.
  • Elias Mardeni (+9/78/75) totaled a birdie and 10 pars through his first round of the tournament. Mardeni added two birdies and 11 pars during his second round, finishing the day nine-over.
  • Jorge Berea (+9/76/77) opened the tournament with five pars and an eagle through the front nine, adding two birdies and four pars to close his first round. Berea totaled a birdie and 12 pars during his second round, finishing the day nine-over.
  • Ivan Ponsdomenech (+12/84/72) tallied two birdies and seven pars in his first round of play, Ponsdomenech found his stride during the second round, where he collected three birdies and 12 pars in an even round, finishing the day 12-over.
  • Erik Plenge (+21/80/85) totaled three birdies and 19 pars between his two rounds, finishing the first day of the tournament 21-over.
