BEAUFORT, SC. – The Nova Southeastern University Men's Golf team began play at the Golfweek DII Invitational on Monday morning, through two rounds the Sharks are in 11^th place (+14) led by Bruno Marques (-1) who finished the day tied for ninth individually.

• Bruno Marques (71/72) opened the tournament with two birdies and three pars through the first five holes, Marques shot par on consecutive holes as he hit the turn. Out of the turn Marques shot bogey free through the back nine, including a birdie. During the second Marques totaled three birdies, 10 pars, and an eagle on the 18^th hole to finish the day one-under.
• Elias Mardeni (75/74) began his tournament with nine pars and three birdies in the first round. In the second round Mardeni added five pars and a birdie on the front nine, on the back nine he added a birdie and five pars, including four consecutive to finish the day five-over.
• Jorge Berea (71/78) started the day with three birdies and three pars on the front nine, Berea found his stride on the back nine of the round totaling four birdies and three pars. In round two Berea tallied seven pars on the front nine, with two birdies on the back nine to finish the day five-over.
• Ivan Ponsdomenech (76/73) tallied four pars to open his first round of the day, finding a good rhythm on the back nine with two birdies and six pars. Ponsdomenech totaled four birdies 10 pars during his second round of the tournament to finish the day five-over.
• Mateo Desmond (76/73) began his tournament with three birdies and nine pars through the opening round. Desmond collected 11 pars and two birdies through his second round, finishing the day 13-over.
