NSU Finishes 8th at Shark Invitational

DAVIE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's Golf team wrapped up the second and third round of the NSU Shark Invitational on Tuesday evening. At the conclusion of the Shark Invitational, the Sharks (+30) finished in 8th place. Mike Hay (+3) finished the Invitational tied for 13th place.

How it Happened
ROUND TWO

Christian Munoz ended round two as the best performer for the Sharks, finishing at (+1). Munoz had a strong back-nine, which featured two birdies as well as an eagle.

Bouncing back from the front-nine, Will McGhie hit a (-2) on the back-nine thanks to three birdies and one bogey. McGhie closed the round at (+2).

Ivan Ponsdomenech ended the round at (+2).

Mike Hay opened round two with thirteen consecutive pars. After a few bogeys, Hay wrapped up the round with another par, finishing the round at (+3).

George Mills bounced back from a tough front-nine, with an even-par back-nine. Mills finished the round (+5).

Joesba Torres (+5), Aidan Millham (+5), James Humphries (+5), and Jorge Berea (+9) also represented the Sharks.

How it Happened
ROUND THREE

After finishing the front-nine at (+1), Mike Hay closed the back-nine at even-par after two birdies and two bogeys, wrapping up the final round at (+1), tied for 13th.

Christian Munoz had a strong round two, finishing the front-nine with two birdies and (-1), then closing the back-nine at even-par, giving him (-1) at the close of the final round. Munoz finished the Invitational tied for 17th.

Will McGhie, playing as an individual, ended his final round with a total of two birdies and four bogeys, leaving him sitting at (+2) after an even-par back-nine, ending the Invitational tied for 17th.

After parring his first hole of the round, Joseba Torres had back-to-back birdies. Torres finished the round with six total birdies, and four bogeys, leaving him at even-par at the end of the round, finishing the Invitational tied for 38th.

Aidan Millham and Jorge Berea ended the final round at (+3).

Ivan Ponsdomnech (+5), George Mills (+6), and James Humphries (+6) also represented the Sharks.
