DADE CITY, Fla. – The eighth-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's Golf team continued their impressive run on the 2022-23 season, nearly earning a second consecutive tournament win, by placing second-overall in an 18-team filed at the Saint Leo Invitational.
Will O'Neill (-9) saved his best golf for the final round, shooting a 67 and finishing in second place and just one stroke off the tournament leader.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- O'Neill began his day with a birdie on five, then recorded a par or better on 13 consecutive holes, before birdieing 2-of-3 to close out the tournament. O'Neill shot a 67 for the day.
- Michael Hay also had his best round of the tournament on Tuesday, shooting -4 in the final round. Hay moved 15 spots up the leaderboard, recording six birdies.
- Joseba Torres also enjoyed a successful day on the course, finishing the tournament at -3 – tied with Hay – and shot -2 on Tuesday. Torres totaled four birdies in the final round.
- George Mills (+9) and Jamie Markwick (+12) also participated in the Saint Leo Invitational.
UPCOMING
No. 8 NSU returns to the course on Sunday, February 26, traveling to compete at the Hurricane Invitational from the Doublegate Country Club.
