Former Sharks to Compete at 124th U.S. Open

PINEHURST, NC - Eric Cole and Richard Mansell, two former Nova Southeastern Sharks men's golfers and All-Americans, will be competing in the 124th U.S. Open beginning on Thursday, June 13th. 

Cole, the 2022-23 PGA Rookie of the Year, is making his third career appearance at the U.S. Open (2021 & 2023). Cole earned his qualification for the U.S. Open as one of the top-60 points leaders in the Official World Golf Rankings. Cole earned NCAA All-American honors for the Sharks in 2007.  

Cole began his tournament with the 1:58 p.m. tee time at the first hole and is paired with Akshay Bhatia and Erik van Rooyen. Cole will tee off on Friday, June 14th, at 8:13 a.m. 

Mansell, a two-time All-American during his Nova Southeastern career, is making his second appearance at the U.S. Open. Mansell teed off the first round at 8:57 a.m., alongside Willie Mack III and Ashton McCulloch from the tenth hole. The trio will tee off their second round at 2:42 p.m. from hole one on Friday morning. 

Fans are able to watch live coverage of the first round, beginning at 6:30 a.m., and going until 5 p.m., on USA, followed by additional streaming coverage on Peacock, from 5-8 p.m. Second round streaming on Peacock runs from 6:30 a.m., to 1 p.m., and is followed by six hours of coverage, from 1-7 p.m., on NBC, with one additional hour of streaming on Peacock from 7-8 p.m., to conclude the live coverage.

Following the first two rounds, the 156-player field will be cut to the top-60 and ties for the final two rounds on Saturday and Sunday.
