DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Women's Basketball team heads to Daytona Beach to take on the #15 ranked Embry-Riddle Eagles in the Sunshine State Conference Championship. NSU looks to capture their first Sunshine State Conference Tournament Championship since the 2014-15 season.
On Thursday night, the Sharks upset the #18 ranked and second-seeded Tampa Spartans on the road. Double-digit efforts from
Aubrey Stupp (14) and
Madison Cloonan (10) led the Sharks to victory.

Embry-Riddle came out on top in the first matchup between both teams on January 22nd at the Rick Case Arena. A big fourth quarter propelled the Eagles to victory as Laurie Satchell had a season-high 24 points.
Nova Southeastern bounced back in the second matchup on the road, taking down the Eagles 74-69 on February 22nd. The Sharks were led by All-SSC First Team selection
Aubrey Stupp, who poured in a game high 26 points.
The last time both teams faced off in the SSC Tournament was in 2019 when the Sharks won 85-79 in the SSC Quarterfinals.

Embry-Riddle earned their first SSC Regular Season title after an impressive regular season. Led my SSC Coach of the Year, Lisa Wilson, they are looking to continue making history in today's SSC Championship.
The SSC Defensive and Player of the Year, Madyson Jean-Louis is at the forefront for the Eagles on both sides of the ball. Jean-Louis is averaging 16.9 points per game and shooting 47.8% from the floor this season. Laurie Satchell and Anye Staton were both Third Team All-SSC selections and have played an integral part in the Eagles success this season. Staton is second in the conference in field goal percentage (54.0%) while Satchell is third (53.8%). Satchell leads the team with 6.0 rebounds per contest, while Staton leads the team with 0.9 blocks per game.
