Three Sharks garner All-SSC recognition

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference announced the 2025 all-conference and specialty awards for men's golf on Thursday afternoon. Three Sharks were recognized by the league, as Bruno Marques and Jorge Berea were named to the first-team and Elias Mardeni earned third-team honors. Marques also was recognized as the SSC Freshman of the Year.

Marques becomes the seventh NSU Men's Golfer to be recognized as the Freshman of the Year – the first since Josep Serra (2022) - and earns first-team all-league recognition. Marques, the 19th ranked golfer in the South Region, holds a 71.6 scoring average and has earned three top 10 finishes during the 2024-25 season.

Jorge Berea earns the first All-Conference recognition of his career and has earned three top ten finishes during his sophomore season. Berea's best tournament of his career came at the Saint Leo Invitational, in which he shot seven-under and earned a third place finish. Berea also added a fourth place finish at the Sunshine State Conference championship.

Mardeni was recognized to the third-team All-Sunshine State Conference. The freshman owns a 72.2 scoring average and has earned three top 19t15 finishes in his first collegiate season.

The 19th ranked Sharks will compete in the NCAA South/Southeast Region tournament beginning on Thursday, May 8th, at the Mission Inn + Resort Course in Howey-in-the-hills, Fla. To stay up-to-date on Sharks Men's Golf, be sure to follow on Instagram & X at NSU_MGolf.
