ORLANDO, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks were picked to finish fourth in the SSC women's basketball preseason coaches' poll released on Thursday afternoon. NSU received 30 votes, while Embry-Riddle was picked to finish first with 18 votes.
The Sharks enter the 2026-27 season with a fresh start after finishing 28-5 overall and 16-4 in Sunshine State Conference play last year while winning the SSC Tournament Championship and advancing to the NCAA Second Round. Under first-year head coach Isaac White, Nova Southeastern features a revamped roster with eight newcomers added through the transfer portal. Junior Kaliyah Morales and senior Bridie McCann return as key pieces and are expected to play significant roles as the Sharks begin a new chapter for the program.
