FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – NSU Women's Golf, fresh off another Sunshine State Conference championship, saw two of its student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators' (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Ariana Carvalho and
Mei Chan were named to the CSC Academic All-District At-Large team, which recognizes athletes that excel both athletically and academically.
The at-large distinction comes from smaller sports that not every college or university in the country may offer, such as golf and rowing.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated for golf, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, must have accrued a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and must have competed in either 75% of an institution's team scoring events or be in the lineup for the conference championship tournament.
Of the Shark selections,
Ariana Carvalho has been marked as eligible to be named a CSC Academic All-American which would be announced in July while members of the CSC vote on All-America status.
