PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The Womens' Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced its All-American Teams with Nova Southeastern earning one honoree.
Alex Remaklus, after winning the SSC Individual Championship, has been named to the WGCA Division II All-Freshman Team.
Remaklus is just one of five women's golfers nationally to be named to the All-Freshman Team alongside Lucy Kate Smith of UT-Tyler, Youyang Li of Rollins, Aubane Statiotis of Eckerd and the WGCA Freshman of the Year, Olivia Roberts of Anderson (S.C.).
Remaklus adds the honor to a long list of awards for the freshman from Clermont, Fla. She has already been named the Sunshine State Conference's Freshman of the Year and was named to the All-SSC First Team.
She finished her season with a national ranking of 21
st and a regional ranking of 12
th securing two wins and two top-three finishes in her rookie season. She went 555-214-21 against all other Division II golfers in the competitions NSU competed in.
