VALDOSTA, Ga. (November 22, 2006) - Nova Southeastern (0-3) was defeated by the Valdosta State Lady Blazers (3-0) by a score of 54-39 on Wednesday afternoon.

Forward Jennifer Havens (Sr., Ontario, Ore.) led all scorers with 14 points to go along with nine rebounds. As a team, however, NSU shot 32.6 percent from the field and did not register a free throw attempt until 4:33 left in the game.

Valdosta backup guard Janelle Collazo was the Lady Blazers' leading scorer, registering 12 points while Julie Kongeskov tallied 10.

While NSU outrebounded VSU 38-32, the Sharks committed 29 turnovers to 18 for the Lady Blazers.

NSU will be back in action on December 2 at the University Center Arena as they take on St. Augustine University at 2pm.
