Orlando, Fla. (February 19, 2007) - Nova Southeastern University freshman Eric Cole (Orlando, Fla.) took second place at the Matlock Invitational, posting a three-under par 213 (70-72-71) to earn SSC Men's Golfer of the Week honors. Cole's score was the best of his collegiate career, and placed him just one stroke behind the leader in the tournament, which was hosted by Florida Southern College.

Cole's performance lifted the Sharks to the team championship, NSU's second consecutive win. The Sharks, who are ranked 8th in the latest Golfstat.com poll, defeated the top four teams in the nation en route to victory. A total of 12 teams, including six SSC squads, competed in the event.
