FORT LAUDERDALE
, Fla. The Nova Southeastern women’s basketball team (15-9, 7-7 SSC) will head to Boca Raton, Fla. Wednesday to take on the Lynn Fighting Knights (12-12, 7-7 SSC). Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the De Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center.

The Sharks are currently winners of three straight games and four of their last five. Wednesday’s game will be the third consecutive game on the road for NSU. The Sharks took down Palm Beach Atlantic Feb. 15 before completing the season sweep of Saint Leo Saturday with a 69-57 victory.

A quartet of NSU student-athletes reached double figures against the Lions. Meixandra Porter (Jr., Chantilly, Va.) led the way with 15 points, Danielle Robinson (Fr., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Jasmine Wilkins (So., Miami, Fla.) both tallied 12 and Jessica Russi (So., Lake Mary, Fla.) finished with 10. Wilkins also grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double.

Lynn has dropped its past two games and three of its last four. The Fighting Knights fell a week ago at No. 9 Rollins and then at home to No. 24 Florida Southern, 73-62.

Kira Harvey, who paces Lynn at 14 ppg, scored 24 and 20 against Tars and Mocs, respectively. Marquis Lee, the Knights second leading scorer at 11.6 ppg, is also their leading rebounder, securing 8.7 rpg.

Lynn won the first meeting this season at the NSU Arena in the final 30 seconds. Charla Nelson-James laid in a basket with 21 seconds remaining to give the Knights a 58-56 win that halted a three-game win streak for the Sharks.

NSU will wrap up the regular season at home against Rollins Saturday afternoon. After Saturday, conference seeding will be set and first round action will begin Wednesday, Feb. 29.
