FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The No. 4 Nova Southeastern women's basketball team will take on the Lynn Fighting Knights on Wednesday night at 5:30, completing three straight games at the NSU Arena.

The Sharks (19-1, 9-1 SSC) lost a half-game in the conference standings due to finishing up their out-of-conference schedule on Saturday, winning 76-72 over Palm Beach Atlantic. Tampa defeated Florida Tech in overtime, pushing them to 9-2 and only a half-game back. Rollins rebounded from a Wednesday loss to Tampa to defeat Eckerd and move to 8-3.

Lynn (11-9, 4-6 SSC) is in fifth place, a half-game behind Florida Tech and a half-game ahead of Barry. They are coming off a 27-point road loss to Florida Southern, 71-44, after winning back-to-back games against Eckerd and Florida Tech.

These two teams met back in Jan. 8 in Boca Raton, with the Sharks using a 26-6 run to start the second half to top the Fighting Knights, 84-53. Taylor Buie (So., Puyallup, Wash.) led all scorers with 18, Amanda Burakoski (Sr., Brooklyn, N.Y.) had 17 off the bench, and Jasmine Wilkins (R-Jr., Miami) added a double-double, 14 points (on 6-of-6 shooting) and 10 rebounds.

The win knotted the all-time series record at 14-14, with the Sharks winning the last four and five of the last six. A win tonight would sweep the season series for the second year in a row.

The Sharks now lead the conference in nine team categories: scoring offense, scoring margin, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, 3-point percentage, 3-pointers made, assists, assist/turnover ratio and 3-point defense. They lead the nation in assists and are second in assists and 3-pointers made.

Other high national rankings for the squad include scoring offense (fifth), scoring margin (eighth), assist/turnover ratio (14th) and 3-point percentage (15th).

Lynn's highest ranking is in blocked shots, first in the SSC and 30th in the country. 6-3 junior center Isidora Madzarevic, despite only notching the seventh-highest minutes per game for the squad, leads the conference in blocked shots per game at 1.6

Point guard Shattoria Baker leads the team and is among the league leaders in assists (4.5, third), steals (1.7, tied for fifth) and free throw percentage (80.4, eighth). Lynn's leading scorer is Zachara Bailey at 12.7, with Sharneka McCatty also in double digits at 11.1, while leading the squad and ranking fourth in the league in rebounds at 8.0.
