FINAL RESULTS
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 1 Nova Southeastern University men's golf took their third straight tournament to start the spring, winning the team team title at the rain-shortened St. Edward's Invitational by six strokes, while placing three golfers in the top five at the par-70 Onion Creek Country Club on Tuesday.
The tournament was canceled in its entirety on Monday, with only 18 of the possible 54 holes being competed. Still, the Sharks as a team shot an 8-under-par total of 272 to defeat runner-up Rogers State.
Pacing the team was
Richard Mansell (So., Staffordshire, England), whose 4-under 66 tied him with Jono Ledger of St. Mary's for best regulation score, Ledger would go on to take medalist honors with a birdie on the third playoff hole. Mansell's NSU teammates
Santiago Gomez (Jr., Armenia, Colombia) and
Oscar Lengdèn (Sr., Helsingborg, Sweden) each carded a 3-under-par 67 to finish one stroke back in a tie for third.
Priyanshu Singh (Fr., Delhi, India) finished with an 2-over 72 and was tied for 19th, while fellow freshman
Ethan Marcus (Boca Raton, Fla.) was at a 4-over 74.
