FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women's basketball team will head to West Palm Beach, Fla. on Wednesday evening to take on the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic. Tip off between the two Sunshine State Conference teams is slated for 5:30 p.m.

NSU (13-7, 9-3 SSC) kicked off SSC competition in November against PBA, grabbing an overwhelming 94-56 victory at home. To this point, this was the Sharks' highest-scoring game.  Samantha Logan recorded a double-double with 14 rebounds and a team-high 16 points, while Katie Barnard added 10 points. Maria Bardeeva and Megan Piggott added 11 and 10 points, respectively, off the bench.

Nikkira Brown led the Sailfish on the night with 12 points, making 3-of-5 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line. Jane Svilberg added 10 points, while Mina Salhia finished with nine points and two assists.

Currently, Palm Beach Atlantic holds a 7-12 overall record and is 3-9 against SSC opponents. Ayanna Holmes leads the Sailfish with 15.9 points per game and is joined in double-digit figures by Hannah Grim, who averages 14.5 points per game. Holmes is also PBA's leading rebounder, pulling down 9.1 on average.

The Sharks are currently on a three game winning streak, and have moved up in the conference standings to tied for second place after grabbing two huge wins over Tampa and Florida Southern this past week. In their most recent outing, a 53-48 victory over FSC, Logan and Christen Prasse were the night's leading scorers, each recording a double-double with 15 points and 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively. For Logan, this was her fourth double-double of the season and it was a career-first. Prasse also chipped in four assists.

Piggott continues to lead the Sharks in scoring with 10.9 points per game, while Logan still sits on top with 9.1 rebounds per game.
