Box Score BRADENTON, Fla. – The No. 30 Nova Southeastern women's tennis team claimed two of the three doubles matches from the No. 9 Saint Leo Lions, but it was not enough as the Sharks fell short, 5-4, in the third-place match of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
DOUBLES:
- The Lions jumped to a quick 1-0 lead after a win at No. 3. Ana Navas and Isabella Lowrey tied the match after defeating Marta Vicens Miquel and Andrada Gordan in a back-and-forth, 8-6 affair.
- No. 10 Andrea Ivanovic and Daniela Obando gave the Sharks a 2-1 lead going into singles after a come-from-behind 9-8 nail-biter over No. 24 Madeline Gauthier and Maja Pindelska.
SINGLES:
- Saint Leo took back the lead, 3-2, after winning at No. 6 and 4. Obando then tied the match 3-3 with a 7-6, 6-1 triumph over Pindelska at No. 3.
- The Lions grabbed the lead once again at 4-3 with a victory at No. 5. Navas tied the match for the Sharks after battling back to defeat Miquel, 6-0, 4-6, 6-2 in the top flight.
- Saint Leo rallied at No. 2 and claimed the match by a score of 5-4.
