FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Scoreless through five and a half innings, the Nova Southeastern softball team used a two two-RBI doubles in the bottom half of the sixth for top the visiting Lynn Fighting Knights, 2-0, on Tuesday evening in the AD Griffin Sports Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Tia Williams led the inning off with a single to left before stealing second to put NSU in scoring position. The next batter,
Suka Van Gurp, brought her home with a ball sent to deep left, scoring the first run of the game for either team. After a foul out by
Miriam Schmoll,
Keeley Mayers mimicked Van Gurp with another RBI-double to left to make it a 2-0 game in NSU's favor.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Both Williams and Van Gurp finished 2-for-3, each scoring once, with Van Gurp tallying one RBI.
- Mayers was 1-for-3 with her RBI and Alex Suzuki and Sydney Anderson were both 1-for-2.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Tonight's win brings the overall series between NSU and Lynn to 47-30-1 in the Sharks' favor.
