Mount Olive Weekend Opens with UMO First Chance for Men's Track

Parry won the 800m, while the 4x100m boosted its provisional time

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Five select members of the Nova Southeastern men's track and field team competed on Saturday at the Mount Olive First Chance and Multi Meet, looking to boost and add qualifying times for the NCAA Championships at the end of the month.

RELAY EVENTS RUNNING EVENTS
  • Freshman Michael Parry claimed the top spot in the 800m, coming in first with a time of 1:52.14.
  • Nieves produced another NCAA provisional time of 14.46 in the 110m hurdles, coming in fifth in the final. He also produced a seventh-place 54.49 in the 400m hurdles.
  • Moate ran a 10.61 in the 100m to advance to the final, but did not make the next appearance.
Up Next: The Sharks remain in Mount Olive and will compete Sunday in the UMO Last Chance Qualifier Meet.
