WARREN, Ohio – The sixth-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's Golf team concluded its season in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship advanced to the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship on Thursday afternoon at the Avalon Lakes Golf Club. The Sharks played a pair of matches on Thursday, defeating third-seeded Lee (TN.) 3-2 in the quarterfinal round and beating Sunshine State Conference foe second-seeded Barry 3-2 in the semifinals.

Quarterfinal
Josep Serra started the morning for the Sharks, teeing off from the tenth hole. Serra and Lee's Lewis-Perkins battled back-and-forth over the first nine holes before Serra took a two-stroke lead on the 18
th hole. Serra extended his lead to as many as four strokes and closed out the first point for Nova Southeastern.
Michael Hay took the lead for good on the 15
th hole, reaching a five-stroke lead after recording an eagle on the fifth hole. Hay put the Sharks ahead 2-0, needing just one more match play win to move to the semifinals.
Will O'Neill earned the decisive point in the quarterfinals, defeating DeMersseman by five strokes. O'Neill led by three strokes on the back-nine, before pushing his lead to seven-strokes with just one hole remaining. O'Neill clinched the quarterfinal win, finishing off a 3-2 Sharks victory.
Semifinal
Michael Hay earned his second victory of the day, taking the lead on the seventh hole, and defeated D'Ambrosio by two strokes, tying the match at 1-1.
Will O'Neill, also earning his second win of the afternoon, held off a comeback effort from Chamorro by recording a par on each of the final six holes and winning by just one stroke.
Daniel Celestino closed out the semifinal win over the Bucs, never trailing in the match-up and went wire-to-wire, while holding onto a one-stroke victory to send the Nova Southeastern Sharks to the National Championship.

Joey Marino – "We earned our spot into the national championship match. The team battled through a long day and fought hard in both matches. I am so proud of the way we finished off both the quarter- and semifinal rounds. We have one more round left and we're ready to compete for a title.
