Payton Graber Signs with NSU Women's Basketball

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. - After an appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen this past season, the Nova Southeastern Women's Basketball team begins to reload their roster for the 2024-25 season with the addition of 5'8 guard Payton Graber.

Graber, a sophomore, transfers to Nova Southeastern after one season at the College of Saint Rose, where she started 27 games and averaged 33.3 minutes per contest. Graber was the leading scorer for the Golden Knights at 12 points and added 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2 steals per game during the 2023-24 season.

"Payton was a high-performing guard at the College of Saint Rose leading them to 21 wins and an NCAA tournament bid this season. Her determination helped their program finish third in the NE 10 after a pre-season ranking of 11. Payton has a very high basketball IQ, a strong skill set, and sees the floor well. Her grit and toughness enables her to be highly effective on both ends of the floor," stated Freeland-Curry. "Due to the closure of the College of Saint Rose, Payton hit the portal looking for a new opportunity. Our coaching staff and players are excited to announce Payton Graber is a Shark."

During the 2023-24 campaign, the Schenectady, NY native scored a career high 23 points in a winning effort against D'Youville. Graber's impressive performance throughout the season earned her a spot on the All NE-10 Second Team.

Payton will transfer to NSU with a 4.0 GPA and looks to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing.
