FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The No. 5 Nova Southeastern University women's golf team will next take part in the Armstrong Pirate Women's Golf Invitational at the Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Georgia, beginning on Monday morning.
The Monday and Tuesday event will each consist of 18 holes, and shotgun starts each day at 8:30 a.m. Seventeen teams make up the field, including four of the top five teams in the Division II according to the most recent Golfstat Relative Rankings.
In addition to the No. 5 Sharks, also competing are the nation's top team Flagler, No. 2 Lynn and No. 3 Florida Tech. Also slotting in the top 20 are No. 8 West Florida, No. 14 Saint Leo, No. 16 Florida Southern and the hosts, No. 18 Armstrong State.
The remainder of the field is made up of Carson-Newman, Coker, Columbus State, Lander, Mount Olive, Newberry, UNC Pembroke, North Georgia and West Georgia.
All seven Sharks on the roster will be making the trip to Pooler, five counting towards the team score along with two individuals (click the link on top of this page for all tee times). Two weeks ago at the Lady Moc Classic,
Liliana Cammisa (Sr., Alta Gracia, Argentina) paced all Sharks with a fourth-place finish, and she has the lowest stroke average thus far on the season at 76.2. That is just ahead of two of NSU's freshmen,
Mailen Domecq Chantry (Mar del Plata, Argentina) at 77 even, and
Jamie Freedman (Plantation, Fla.) at 77.4.
