PHILADELPHIA – The No. 5 Nova Southeastern University rowing team finished competition in the world-renowned Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday morning. This race concludes the Sharks' regular season, as NSU will await to hear their post-season fate this Monday, May 15 at 5:00 p.m. during the NCAA DII rowing selection show.
In the first race, the varsity heavyweight DII final, the Sharks finished eighth overall with a time of 7:01.293 in the petite final.

Victoria Porretti were the members of the eight boat.
In the heavyweight four grand final, the boat comprised of
Mikayla Switzer,
Samantha Loriot,
Nicole Baliszewski,
Lisette Villarreal and Hannah Di Lorenzo, finished sixth overall with a time of 7:53.331.
The final race for the Sharks was the pair boat made of
Gabriella Lopez and
Samantha Burgess, who ended up 10
th overall. Due to inclement weather, the rest of the races in the Dad Vail Regatta were cancelled.
"This was not the Dad Vail we were hoping for," explained head coach
Devin Fay. "But, all boats had at least one race where they executed their race plan well. It's always good to have multiple races against a competitive field. This is a very young squad, and we hope to learn from this and come back stronger next year."
