SARASOTA, Fla. (April 24, 2026) – The 2026 Sunshine State Conference Women's Rowing Championship took place Friday morning at Benderson Park, with Nova Southeastern turning in a strong performance highlighted by a race victory and a podium finish.

Nova Southeastern opened the day in dominant fashion in the Varsity Four, crossing the finish line in 7:50.8 to claim the conference title. The championship crew featured Chrysta Snair (coxswain), Margianna Petridi, Jordan Maruskin, Lucia Allen, and Gianna Middleton, who set the tone early with a decisive win.
In the Varsity Eight, the Sharks delivered a competitive showing, finishing third overall, just 28.3 seconds behind the leader. The lineup included Daphne De Sedas (coxswain), V. Robinson, Mollie Ireland, Madison Artman, Marley Camin, Emma Hickey, Sophia Florez, Julia Vandekieft, and Triumph Perry.
In the final team standings, Rollins secured the conference championship with 20 points. Embry-Riddle and Nova Southeastern each finished with 19 points, but the Eagles claimed second place via the Varsity Eight tiebreaker. Tampa placed fourth with 12 points, followed by Barry in fifth with 2 points.
