JUPITER, Fla. – Freshman
Valentina Albertazzi fired rounds of (-2) 69 and (+2) 73 to lead Nova Southeastern throughout the opening 36 holes at the Jupiter Women's Invitational on Monday. The Spaniard currently sits tied for third on the leaderboard, three shots off the pace set by Florida International's Agueda Cortilla-Mas, while the Sharks have a hold of fifth as a team.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- NSU pieced together rounds of (+11) 295 and (+18) 302 on Monday to close the afternoon sandwiched between both Georgia Southern and Keiser.
- Florida International jumped out to the early 36-hole lead at 12-over par, seven strokes ahead of second-place Florida Gulf Coast.
- Albertazzi was the only Shark to post a red number in the opening two rounds, putting herself in contention once again after tying for fourth at the Shark Invitational a week ago.
- Sophomore Nicola Fall played her way into 15th on the leaderboard thanks to rounds of (+1) 72 and (+6) 77.
- Just one stroke behind Fall, in a tie for 16th at eight-over par, stands Sofia Garcia Austt.
- Hanna Ahlander, meanwhile, recorded rounds of (+8) 79 and (+6) 77 to wrap up play on Monday in a tie for 40th, with Sol Santecchia currently in 60th overall.
- Competing as an individual this week, Mathilde Bertuol finds herself in sole possession of 61st.
STATS OF THE DAY:
- Scoring conditions proved tougher in the afternoon Monday, as the average score in round two was 77.97 as opposed to 77.51 in round one.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD:
- The Sharks are one of just two Division II programs in the 11-team field this week.
