JUPITER, Fla. – Through three collegiate tournaments, freshman
Valentina Albertazzi looks anything but a rookie. After beginning her career with a tie for sixth, the Spaniard earned her second consecutive tie for fourth on Tuesday, this time coming at the Jupiter Women's Invitational as Nova Southeastern finished in a collective sixth in a tournament littered with Division I programs.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Paced by the play of individual medalist Agueda Cortilla-Mas (-1), who held off Florida Gulf Coast's Laura Edmonds by one stroke atop the leaderboard, Florida International captured the team title on Tuesday. The Panthers finished with a 54-hole score of (+24) 876, besting FGCU by eight shots.
- Georgia Southern (+42), Lynn (+44) and host Florida Atlantic (+49) rounded out the Top-5 of the 11-team field.
- The Sharks slid down the leaderboard from fifth to sixth after posting a final-round total of (+23) 307, ending their streak of two straight tournament victories to open the season.
- Albertazzi registered her second consecutive round of (+2) 73, landing her in a tie for fourth with Lynn's Helen Kreuzer at two-over par for the week.
- Another solid effort by Sofia Garcia Austt moved the junior into sole possession of 18th. Garcia Austt finished the tournament at 13-over par.
- Nicola Fall snuck into the Top-25, closing at 16-over par, to gather a tie for 24th.
- Hanna Ahlander concluded play tied for 38th, while Sol Santecchia placed 59th overall.
- Mathilde Bertuol competed as an individual at this week's event, taking 60th among the field.
STATS OF THE DAY:
- The average score increased in Tuesday's final round, rising to 78.48, following marks of 77.51 and 77.97 through each of the first two rounds.
UP NEXT:
