HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The leaderboard's Top-4 teams are all separated by just a combined four strokes. Barry (-2) owns a slight one-shot edge over second-place Tampa (-1), while both Lynn (+1) and NSU (+2) are nipping right on their heels.
  • Tampa's Kiira Riihijarvi owns the 36-hole lead after firing rounds of 67 and 66 to finish the day at 11-under par. Still, Albertazzi nearly matched Riihijarvi stroke for stroke thanks to rounds of 67 and 68, keeping her within two shots of first.
  • Sofia Garcia Austt opened up the tournament with a strong round of (-2) 70. A second-round score of (+1) 73 has her at one-under par for tournament, good enough for 11th overall.
  • After posting a (+4) 76 in round one, sophomore Hanna Ahlander shaved three shots off her score in the afternoon, using a (+1) 73 to enter the clubhouse tied for 18th at five-over par.
  • Mathilde Bertuol and Nicola Fall are both among a logjam tied for 34th at nine-over par, while Sol Santecchia stands tied for 64th.
BEYOND THE SCORECARD:
  • During the second round, Tampa's Hallie Riley sunk a hole-in-one on No. 6, marking the eighth-ever in the history of the tournament, and first since Ahlander accomplished the feat a year ago.
