EUREKA, Mo. – The third-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks Women's Golf program saw their 2023 season come to a close on Saturday afternoon, finishing as Finalists for the NCAA Division II National Championship. The Sharks fell 3-2 in match play, in a highly contested battle against the top-seeded Dallas Baptist Patriots.
Additionally, Olivia Grønborg earned WGCA Freshman of the Year and WGCA All-American honors.

Haruka Muta battled back-and-forth against Dallas Baptist's Garcia, as the pair remained tied through four holes. Muta, after trailing by three strokes after seven, tied the contest entering the final three holes. Dallas Baptist earned the point, taking a 1-0 lead over NSU.
Ellen Ramstedt began the morning leading her matchup by two strokes after four holes. However, DBU's DeLaGarza tied the contest after the fifth hole, forcing Ramstedt to respond throughout the contest. Entering the final two holes, Ramstedt won the 17
th hole, setting up a one-stroke difference on 18, but the comeback fell short as DBU earned their second point.
Emma Larsen took a commanding three-stroke advantage after the first hole and maintained the lead throughout her round, even extending the difference to eight-strokes, earning the first Sharks point in the national championship matchup. Larsen shot a 74 in the title round.
Olivia Grønborg continued her exceptional play at the NCAA Division II National Championship, leading throughout her final round and winning her finals matchup by four strokes. The individual national champion won her final round by four-strokes, shooting a 71.
Ellen Andersson gave a strong effort to comeback and preserve the Sharks Women's Golf program's hopes for a fifth NCAA National title keeping her matchup within three strokes until the final hole. The effort fell just short, as the Sharks finished their season as national finalists.
