ORLANDO, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Men's Golf team opened play at the Citrus Intercollegiate Invitational Monday morning. After day one of play, Nova Southeastern sits tied for fifth place (+16).

Elias Mardeni parred five consecutive holes to start his first round. He hit the turn and parred eight straight holes, finishing the first round with a birdie and sitting at one-over par.

In round two, Mardeni recorded eleven pars and four birdies, finishing the day at one-over and tied for sixth.

Jorge Berea opened his first round with a birdie on hole two and found his rhythm on the back nine, making either a birdie or par on eight out of nine holes.

In round two, Berea tallied five birdies and three bogeys, finishing at two-over for the day and inside the top 12.

James Humphries notched four birdies across two rounds, ending day one at five-over.

Will McGhie recorded five birdies on the first day, finishing the tournament's opening day at eight-over.

Bruno Marques posted scores of 78 and 76 in the first and second rounds, respectively.

William Ramstedt finished with scores of 87 and 80 during the first day of action.
